i saw the new avatar movie today in 3D.

first off, i think they tried too hard to make it 3D, the previews of alice in wonderland and 3D piranha's were much more so pop out in your face then avatar.

i would have to say i enjoyed avatar. it was an epic movie in itself in a try to be like star wars kind of way. the storyline was decent, and flowed in some resemblance to kevin costner's "dances with wolves."

the feel had disney's "tarzan" and "the lion king" -esk to it. with the worlds, and trying something else other then what we are used to in it. but if i lost my legs, i, too, would give up this technology filled society we live in.

now here's the thing that bothered me about these fantasy movies.... originality. there really wasnt too much original cool stuff in it. the linking to avatar thing.. reminded me of assassin's creed or angelic layer. its been done. the military forces' air vehicles were clearly from halo, with weapons from gears of war. the glowing forest that kept lighting up. final fantasy.

then there's being attacked by someething "wild" you fight it, weaken it, then "capture" or "bond" with it. its pokemon. had to admit that those flying mounts, looked like lugia. and that near the end part where jakesully got the ultimate pimp ride? total EPness.

i did like the idea of how they "linked up" to everything in their world tho. that was totally cool. hope thats not how they "mate" and get into each other's minds.

its rainy days like this with my girl that makes me realize that i dont have to splurge to make her happy even if i feel like it. i get frustrated as things dont turn out the way i want to make the day. but as we talked in the car, and the rain splattered against the shield, with its remaining light attempting to get through in its ambiance, non of it was noticed by me or her as we laughed and got lost in our conversations.

sometimes i wonder how they can make so many things in the states that are "made in taiwan." taiwan isnt that large of a country, and if we took all the things in he states that were made in taiwan and brought them back, i'm sure it'd fill the country easily.

i'm sure i hear ppl saying that about japan too....

there's probably originally alot to say about what happened at retreat. the mixed churches from evergreen, and the bonding that went on. the conflict, and the hate.

there was the sharing, the friendship bracelets, jamie getting hurt because jeff ran her over in a tank, and with jon and i carrying her around. there was that day with the mudslides that literally blocked off the auditorium, the game room, and the kitchen. the no curfew nights where we stayed up and tried to bond till 4 AM. well i was there. in the background. i didnt bond during those times. the skits. check out youtube for them. or facebook. i didnt expect encouragement notes this year. i always stick to the crafts. i made 25 bracelets this year. my style. lolz. last year i did everybody's name in graff style. maybe i'll make stuffed animals next year. IF I GO. i dont really have an excuse anymore.

and each year that i go, i go with the sense of the pits. and when i come out i'm on the level. so what would it be like to be level and going there? would i go higher? i'm not sure if thats a yes or no answer. but i know this.

i'm thinking of not going to fnf's and sundays for a while. maybe its a time of reflection. while most ppl would be like ok, go grab yourself some time and then come back.... there's more..

i'm thinking of quitting my job and abandoning school.
you're like.. "what?? you're crazy!!"

but let me say this, maybe all this time. while i was having fun at church. while i was just being chill at school. while i was distracted with just being busy. i was distracted from Him. something about that keep on looking for the last 10-18 years might be something. and it probably is... i was just too busy to go and get out there to find Him. i never listened.

maybe its time. i listened. intently. for once.
